Cannabis Potency Testing

At 4TM Jamaica we use a Nano Sniffer and/or HPTLC to quantify the chemical makeup of cannabis samples, and a spectrometer for identification via unique signatures.

First we analyze the percentage of water content in each sample to ensure proper preparation.

Then we use our Nano Sniffer to quantify the 3 main Cannabinoids, THC, CBD and CBN. We also measure the Terpene content (Linalool, Myrcene, Limonene, Terpinolene, α-Pinene, β-Pinene, Humulene, Caryophyllene, Caryophyllene oxide and 11 other common Terpenes).

We use HPTLC to test for the total amount of the following Cannabinoids: Cannabidiol (CBDA + CBD), Tetrahydrocannabinol (∆9THCA + ∆9THC + ∆8THC), Cannabinol (CBN), Cannabichromene (CBC) and Cannabigerol (CBGA +CBG).

These key Cannabinoids and 20 Terpenes differentiate each plant from another and give cannabis many medicinal properties. Read more about our Nano Sniffer, HPTLC and various cannabis testing systems here.
